Woodland
I like Dandilions and Buttercups
Goldenrod and Fern
Thistle and Clover growing tall
Leaves when in Autumn they burn.
I like the PussyWillows
I love a HoneySuckle vine
Morning Glory's growing wild
A walk in the wood while sun shines.
I love the Cardinal and the Jay
I once saw a Hummingbird
I've seen an Oriole and a Chickadee
Bob White's I have heard.
I've seen CatBirds and Crows
I've heard the WhiporWill
I love the call of the Katydid
I remember them still.
I love the chipmunks
The wild rabbits too
I've seen deer come to drink
God's beauty I love true.
I'm sure hot house flowers are nice
Give me a field any day
Where nature is wild and free
Then my spirit will pray.
