Ricky

You lived a life wild and free

For a time you were the world to me

You taught me love with tears and joy

Between us we have a girl and a boy.

You were a piece of me literally

Now you're gone.With the children I wasn't lonely

I loved you so but we weren't to be

You couldn't stop drinkng or drugs for me.

At thirty one years old you died

For years at night for you I cried

The children were too young and small

They never knew you at all.

You were the best and the worst too

Never did I get over you

Death is final. It's really the end

Never a chance to touch again.

You said you never wanted anyone to visit you

So your grave I've never been to

In my heart you are still there

Nothing can take that away. I still care.

Only now after all these years alone

I have another love to make a home.

He's a good man and he loves me true

As once I thought that way of you.
