Marian Philip Fowler Senior

My GrandDad

Never seen vey much of you

You and my parents weren't close it's true

Still the time I did get to be there

Are good memories I like to share.

I never heard much good about you

you left GrandMa and made her blue

You married another, guess that's why

I never got to say good-bye.

by the time I was on my own

You were ill but never alone

So I never got to know you at all

It's too late, it's pased, that's all.

I do remember one time we were there

I was nine, I'll never forget

You gave us all the popsicles we could eat

To us children, one was a very rare treat.

Dad got angry because we accepted

I wonder what he expected

I'll never understand why he was so mad

When you made his children glad.
