Great Grand Mom

GreatgrandMa I miss you still to this day

You were a shining star. What can I say?

My life was filled with despair and gloom

Being with you made me happy every afternoon.

Wonder if I told you what you meant to me

Wish I could have said good-bye. I mean that sincerely

You caught the flu and went so fast

GrandMa told me; she was there at the last.

I cannot recall a time

Seeing you two didn't ease my mind

You were people I felt did care

When no one else was, you were there.

All through the winters in letters I'd write

Waiting for the summer when you'd be in sight

I got married and saw little of you then

You lived on the hill and my life was a strain.

You left a legacy of love with me

You gave me my best memories

GreatGrandMa I can never forget you

Without you I wouldn't have made it through.
